I really enjoy the challenge of directing a pit orchestra. This time it has been for the production of Willy Wonka. The added pleasure is the quality time spent with such great young people.

Just doing the math in my head... this June’s Commencement will be (approx.) the 40th graduation ceremony I have attended. That’s a lot of Pomp and Circumstance.

In my role as a high school band and orchestra director, I have many wonderful opportunities. The latest is the chance to direct a 200 member ensemble performing our National Anthem at historic Fenway Park, the home of the MLB Champion Boston Red Sox on April 8, 2014. ...very proud of our Wooster High School musicians.

Headed to the Ohio Music Education Association Professional Conference. Looking forward to connecting with colleagues and seeing/hearing many great things!

Just spent some time in New Orleans. From Bourbon Street to Frenchmen Street... from 102 yr. old Lionel Ferbos to talented street musicians... from Delfeayo Marsalis to an unidentified band at Maison... what a great experience!
